DJ Citi Plaza Hotel & Suites

My husband and I stayed at DJ Citi Plaza Hotel and Suites from 5-7 Oct 2025. Check in and check out were a breeze; no complaints there. The bell boys were very good too, giving flawless service with our luggage. I liked it that as per my request, we got a very nice room with a king-sized bed and a very good view of the famous drawbridge in Kuala Terengganu. We asked for extra pillows and they were promptly sent. That was much appreciated! It’s a pity that we did not have a chance to test out the food menu at the hotel. The breakfast menu looked good but we already had plans outside. The only things I would want different would be a bit more space for hanging our clothes in the room, and a sink that’s a bit higher in the bathroom so that I wouldn’t have to bend so much! (Senior citizen!) Parking was not bad if one arrived early, but the parking spots were taken up fast! Other than those minor problems, I enjoyed my stay and in sha Allah, will be a repeat customer!

I'm amazed with this shoplot style hotel. Sadly I only stayed for 1 night (wished I could extend but travel plan didnt permit). As it's off from the main road, there wasnt any noise from zooming bikes at night. The hotel also has a viewing room at the higher floors which has a good view of the drawbridge. There is also the back view from the hotel, by walking along the corridor to the other end. The front desk hotel staff are also attentive. They sent whatsapp message prior to arrival as a friendly reminder. As the hotel celebrated its 2-year anniversary during my stay in august, they send the celebration invitation via whatsapp a week before arrival and welcomed guests for a small tea reception in the evening. They also recommended to reach out to them on whatsapp for future bookings for better deals compared to hotel booking websites. The car park behind the hotel is a little limited, especially at night. However there are still roadside parking along the hotel road. I would definitely return to DJ Citi Plaza if I visit Kuala Terengganu again in the future.

The room was really nice and spacious, just a bit cold since the controller couldn’t adjust the temperature. The ambience was great — breakfast area and lounge were clean, and the food was tasty! The staff kept refilling everything once it ran out, which I really appreciated. Staff were super helpful too, always checking if there’s parking available and even reminding us about where’s safe to park so we don’t get fined. Location-wise, it’s very convenient — close to almost everything since it’s in the city center. Overall, a really good stay! Would come again :)

The hotel is new, clean and the lobby smell nice. The front desk staffs are friendly and accommodating. I got a room with the famous drawbridge view. The location is okay for me, as it is walking distance to my office. There is a cafe with superb food named Cantek Sekali opposite the hotel. How convenient, for sure will come and stay again at this hotel.

I really am satisfied with this hotel. The room is really clean, the toilet, the shower, the sink , everything is so much good in person. They have refrigerator too! That's a good thing. Also during check-in and check-out, the staff was so nice to us from the start. The price is not that bad for a great quality room and location. It's just a few minutes walk to Pasar Payang. I will definitely book a room here again in the future. Too bad I forgot to take pictures of the room since the room is so nice that it made me forgot to do the most important thing first.
