Muo Boutique Hotel partners up with a couple of quality partners such as Rasa Sayang, a well-established food & beverage outlet that serves a wide array of Pan Asian cuisine to tantalise your every taste bud and LEAP, a relaxing & contemporary lifestyle hair salon founded by a Muarian who has had 12 years worth of experience under Loreal Paris in the United Kingdom.
Muo Boutique Hotel is also a partner of O’Bike Malaysia which is a Global Internet & Technology company focusing on the First & Last Mile Transportation & commute. We have an O’Bike station right infront of our hotel; guests can easily download the O’Bike app on Apple Store or Google Play & enjoy rides all over town following the app rates. After reaching a destination, O’Bikers can park the bicycles at designated docks located all over the town at various locations.
The hotel does not serve breakfast, but we are within the vicinity of the town’s breakfast central. These breakfast spots welcome you to start your day with what Muar is known for, our succulent breakfast satay, fragrant nasi lemak berlauk, rich mee bandung & mee rebus, creamy lontong, hot soto & many more. Singaporeans are also known to travel all the way here just to catch hold of freshly-caught seafood from the waters bordering Indonesia & Malaysia. We take pride in our MUO service.
The MUO Team aims to create an unforgettable stay for all our guests. Our hotel is designed as such that it creates a relaxing, laid-back mood so our guests are immersed in our setting to enjoy the facilities & services we offer. Our staff are trained to have all local information at-hand. We place utmost importance on guest comfort by using top quality mattresses, linen, towels & pillows. A lot of our guests leave the hotel by either buying our towels, pillows or duvets even! Our hotel itself is a full experience on its own. Muo Boutique Hotel screams loval everything. Even our brick walls, hotel furniture, postcards, t-shirts, paintings and even our small merchandise store named Muo Concept Store are all made in Muar by Muarians with love. Went here late yesterday after midnight, luckily the receptionist was available for late check-in. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, easy check-in process. The room was super comfortable and cozy, we had a good night rest after long drive. The only cons, no netflix available for our room. But the rest, good!
Stayed at MUO Boutique Hotel and it left a very good impression. The hotel is simple, clean, and modern, with a minimalist design that feels fresh and well thought out. The room is on the smaller side, but it has everything you actually need for a comfortable stay — nothing excessive, nothing missing. What really stood out was the bed. The mattress and pillows were genuinely good, clearly premium quality, and gave me one of the best sleeps I’ve had in a boutique hotel. No surprise this place gets better sleep-related reviews than some bigger hotels, even compared to places like Traders. You can tell they prioritised comfort where it matters most. Location is another big plus. It’s within walking distance to two of Muar’s best-rated breakfast spots — Mee Bandung Abu Bakar Hanifah and Satay Warisan. Being able to wake up, step out, and head straight to top local food spots makes the stay even better. Overall, MUO Boutique Hotel delivers exactly what it promises: a clean, modern, comfortable place to rest, with great sleep quality and an excellent location. If you value good sleep, convenience, and a no-frills but well-executed stay, this is a solid choice in Muar.
The room was clean, cozy, and nicely designed with a modern boutique feel, although it was a bit small. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Nice and clean hotel. The front desk people are helpful and friendly. Location is fantastic because it next to the river and food places such as otah, mee bandung, wonton mee. Wetex shopping mall is also walkable (5-10 minutes). Lastly, nice view from roof top. See picture. I will stay here again next time.
We had a fantastic stay at Muo Boutique Hotel. From check-in to check-out, the staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The hotel has a modern boutique feel with a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The bed was especially comfortable, and the amenities provided were more than sufficient for a pleasant stay. Everything felt thoughtfully arranged and well taken care of. One of the best things about this hotel is its excellent location. Many attractions are within walking distance, including the riverside at Tanjung Emas, local food streets, shops, street art, and nearby malls. It was very convenient to explore Muar on foot without needing to drive. Overall, Muo Boutique Hotel exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort, cleanliness, service, and location. Highly recommended, and we would definitely stay here again.
