Assalam. My first trip back to pangkor island after more than 10 years because could not find a perfect place to stay. But thanks to Alun Retreat, stayed for 4 days 3 nights and now I will make this a yearly affair. Perfect place to chill and relax, quiet surroundings, very clean environment, no smoking, no drinking. Very friendly, approachable and trustworthy staff. Every morning somebody will clean the beach after the high tide. Even though the room are quite small but to me enough room for 2 with stunning view of the sea. There are room options for 4 and 5 person. Breakfast are adequate (perhaps make variety from day to day, not just nasi lemak, :)) and for lunch and dinner you can go to the 2 adjacent restaurants. Very recommended for laksami pangkor, mee goreng udang, tom yam menus. All in all, very recommended if you are looking for a place to just chill out and healing and not expecting any luxury amenities. Till next time, me and my wife will missed this place so much.
Very nice atmosphere, good breakfast and only a few steps to the ocean :) The rooms are rather small, but that's okay. I would recommend a room close to the beach, the view from the windows and balcony are awesome!
perfect 5!!! Excellent location, breathtaking view, mesmerizing sunset, glimmering starlight at night! Rooms are clean with great and complete amneties, perfectly working AC and all other equipments. Staffs are very polite, kind, helpful and resourceful. Breakfast not much of choice but the ones available ( nasi lemak, kuey teow, kuih keria, curry puff, free flow marigold fruit juices, cereals) were delicious enough with ample portuon for everyone. Came here with my family for raya holiday. Got ourselves 2 executive rooms. Everyone had a wonderful time, from my 2 year old girl, to my mum in law, all of them gave 2 thumbs up, and cant stop talking about it for the next couple days! That’s how great this place is! You’ll say the same too I’m sure. Highly recommend to everyone. P.S : Please be truthful about no of pax. I saw a family was turned down with full reimbursement due to underdeclaring a family member. Its a strict protocol of theirs.
