Pan Borneo Hotel Kota Kinabalu

Though i have my doubts about the 4 Star tag that the said hotel proclaims. Good location with professional service. Nice clean room minus the mini fridge bar. The WiFi in the Lobby area was excellent, however in the rooms it was a nightmare to use it. The parking is fine but some of the potted plants in "some" of the parking slots are so placed that whilst reverse parking you end up damaging your bumper. Had a bad experience with our car.

We decided to change hotel due to safety reason from previous hotel. The lady on the phone on that 28th Dec 2024, Saturday morning around 7am, was very helpful to guide me so that i will have adjoining room with my kids. I do believe she is a manager that assisted me during my check in. She even gave me for early check in but due to unseen circumstances, we only managed to reach the hotel past 3 pm.Both rooms spacious. The joining door was stucked & only within 3 minutes a staff came to help. Even the swimming pool also fun. The kids enjoyed themselves but the water was so cold that afternoon. Even parking area also abundant at level 3. All the staff from checked in, to the room, to the SPA, then restaurant are very generous with smile and hospitality. The only my main concern is one of the window in both rooms is the window LATCH..It was very easily to be opened up/unlocked by my kids. Just imagine we were on level 6. If only the can lock them up & unlock if they wish to use it for what ever reason they want to. We were enjoyed and feel satisfy with our stay, if only i know about this hotel..i should checked in earlier (on 26-29th Dec2024) For sure i will come back to this hotel when i go back to Kota Kinabalu.

During my 3 days stay, I received outstanding 6 star service from the manager named, Zia. She was always welcoming with a smile & never missed an opportunity to greet each guest. Every concern was handled seamlessly, without any hassle. I also want to extend my gratitude to the front desk team, who were exceptionally well trained and provided excellent customer service throughout my stay. The room also spacious & comfy.

Strategic location. Room is clean and nice. Ample parking space (not free).

My warmest gratitude goes to En. Ahmad and Pn. Erica Tati for making our stays and Wedding Reception on 31st August 2024 a success, plus not to mention the Hotel Crews and Banquet Staffs (a bit disappointed because our VIP table wasn't served drinks earlier before our arrival and we didn't manage to taste the dessert too - sigh) but overall our wedding event went well jugalah. The beautiful arrangement of wedding hall and doorgifts, the rooms accommodation (especially for our family members and overseas relative), F&B (some of our guests said 'udang tak cukup' and 'burnt' cashew nuts on the rice - aiya) including parking are well organised. Anyway, for those soon-to-be bride and groom, if you intend to do your wedding event in the hotel, this is one of the good service Hotel you can put into your top pre-wedding checklist, just let Pn Erica Tati and En. Ahmad assist and organise your wedding event for you without even hire a Wedding Planner (mahal lagi kan). For our event, we opts for Chinese Set Course instead of 'duduk atas pelamin' coz much more cheaper and moreover we have time to catch-up with our guests (as limited hours) and take good wedding photos with them. Well done and keep up the good works, just may need to improve on the F&B and serving parts ya, apart from that, you both and the crews are awesome and you all deserve ***** (5*) Services
