Hainan style coffee shop near Renaissance Malacca Hotel – Seu Lean Fung 超联芳

It’s not hard to find a traditional coffee shop in Malacca; last week, I visited a nice Hainan style coffee shop near Renaissance Malacca Hotel named Seu Lean Fung 超联芳.

It’s interesting just to see how our toasted bread and coffee are prepared with the traditional methods – using charcoal, hand-made, coffee made in “susu tin”. Here are some photos that I took and would recommend you to check them out.





Three of us planned take 5 pieces of toast breads, 2 half boiled eggs, and 3 coffees but we ended up order more after the first round. It’s either we are hungry or we just can’t resist the traditional feel of drinking in the traditional coffee shop.

We sit right below their shop’s dooryard, the place is quite cozy. We were there before 8.20am, when we leave, almost all the tables are taken.

Landmark nearby – Hotel Renaissance, Hai-O. It’s on your right if you travel from ayer keroh highway direction (heading to melaka town), opposite a flat.
